According to the present Regulations, following the approved internal normative acts, in accordance with the Bank’s Status, and the National Bank of Moldova authorization and the owned licenses, the branch is authorized to perform on behalf of the Bank the following banking operations and transactions:
- the opening of bank accounts in national and foreign currency;
- the granting of loans to individuals and legal entities, to non-bank customers, according to the decision and within the limits established by the Bank’s authorities;
- performance of services like allocation and charge;
- acceptance of deposits (payable at sight or on term etc.) with or without interest of the legal entities and individuals according to the conditions approved by the Council of the Bank;
- performing operations on the movable assets market through the Treasury Department of the “Banca de Economii” JSC;
- purchase and selling the foreign currency by wire transfer to legal entities and individuals, at the rate established by the Currency Operations and Foreign Relations Department;
- purchase and selling the cash foreign currency to individuals through the exchange offices at the rate established according to the approved internal procedures;
- performing services of safekeeping money, movable assets, their collection and transportation, cashier accompany;
- performing services of bank consulting through the “Banca de Economii” JSC;
- borrowing funds, purchasing, selling the instruments of the financial market (with the exception of subscribing to movable assets) on behalf of its customers or on its own;
- opening and handling the bank cards for legal entities and individuals;
- international and national money transfers;
While acting, the Branch should take into account:
- the maximum limits for the open positions of its assets and the assets that are liable to risk;
- the limits established by the Treasury Department for the activity with movable assets;
- the maximum limits fixed for the total amount of the loans granted to an economic agent;
- the limits of the open currency position established for the Branch.
