The Fund of savings guarantee in the bank system (hereinafter– Fund) guarantees, in the conditions and within the limits previewed by the Law no. 575-XV from 26.12.2003 according the guarantee of individuals savings in the bank system (hereinafter– Law), deposits in national monetary unit and in foreign currency owned by resident and nonresident individuals in authorized banks.

The peak of savings guarantee (maximum sum payable to a deponent) is of 6 000 Moldavian lei, regardless of the number and savings amount or the currency in which the deposits had been constituted.
