Banca de Economii has organised award "Econom 2004"

On January 11, 2005, the Academy of Science from Republic of Moldova and Banca de Economii JSC announce about the beginning of National Competition ECONOM 2004” for title of:

  • Scientist of the year
  • Innovator of the year
  • The youngest innovator of the year

Awarding ceremony ECONOM 2004” was organised on Monday May 30, 2005, at 14.00pm, in the conference hall at the Academy of Science from Republic of Moldova.

We are very happy because we have the opportunity to participate at the promotion of science development in our country. We are sure that in the nearest future, the science will become one of the components and strategic directions of the economy development. We hope that National Award ECONOM 2004”, beginning with this year, will become a tradition, encouraging the scientists and young innovators for more productive activity.

In frame of competition were collected and analyzed innovative and scientific works of the scientists and creators from Republic of Moldova. The works were selected according to the next criteria: innovation, social effects of scientific results, its utility, and others. The final appreciation was given by the commission. The members of commission were authorities from different branches of the science from Moldova and abroad.

The winners of the ECONOM 2004” are:

  • The title “Scientist of the year” has obtained the President of the Academy of Science from Republic of Moldova, Gheorghe Duca, for his realisations in chemistry. He was awarded, by the President of the Banca de Economii JSC, Grigore Gacikevici, with honour diplomas, symbol-statuette of the „ECONOM 2004” Award and prize of 40 000 lei.
  • The title „Innovator of the year” has obtained Valeriu Rudic, researcher in microbiology. The winner received diploma, statuette „ECONOM 2004” and prize 30 000 lei.
  • Scientific co-worker, Raisa Nastas has obtained the title „The youngest innovator of the year”. She received prizes for her contribution in chemistry and prize of 25 000 lei.

As an honor guests at the ceremony speaker of Republic of Moldova Parliament, Marian Lupu, emphased the importance of scientific sector for our state.
