On july 13, 2007, directors’ council of IMF will consider achievements of Moldova in fulfilling obligations to international financial institutions.
This was announced by the constant representative of IMF in Chisinau Johan Mathissen in time of the meeting with the speaker of the parliament Marian Lupu. Johan Mathissesn noted that powers of Moldova successfully implements financial program signed with IMF and stressed that Moldova succeeded in achievement of stipulated macroeconomic indicators and inflation reduction. The constant representative of IMF welcomed decision of the parliament to approve the law of privatization and public property management as well as the law of creation of mega regulator of the outer banking sector. He noted importance of adequate implementation of corresponding laws. In time of the meeting, the interlocutors emphasized necessity of quick developing the laws of state service and money laundering prevention. Marian Lupu stressed that authorities of the country will continue implementing the reforms and fulfilling obligations to international financial institutions.
