Conditions for international money transfers via SWIFT

Banca de Economii S.A. gives physical persons residents and nonresidents possibility to send transfers/payments in any country in the world with or without account opening and to receive them in short terms.

For receiving money transfer from abroad it is necessary:

  1. To inform sender about  beneficiary’s data:

  • Beneficiary’s bank name – Banca de Economii S.A., 115 Columna street, Chisinau, Republic of Moldova;
  • SWIFT code of beneficiary’s bank - Banca de Economii S.A.: BECO MD 2X;
  • Correspondent bank of Banca de Economii S.A. for the currency type of  the transfer;
  • Beneficiary’s name, surname;
  • Passport data and IBAN code for transfers without bank accounts or IBAN code generated for banking account of beneficiary (if it is opened);;
  • Complete address and phone number of beneficiary.

  1. To present the identity document.

International money transfers, received in favor of physical persons, at the request of beneficiary can be:

  • registered in current/deposit/card accounts, opened in bank’s branches;
  • paid out in cash foreign currency;
  • transferred abroad or on the territory of Republic of Moldova, in cases stipulated by legislation. 

For sending money transfer abroad it is necessary:

  1. To present the identity document.
  2. To inform the beneficiary’s data for payment order completion. This data includes:
  • Name, surname of sender;
  • Sum and currency of  transfer;
  • Beneficiary’s name, surname, account number and address (if necessary – IBAN code);
  • Name,  country, address of beneficiary’s bank and (if necessary) of  intermediary bank;
  • SWIFT code of beneficiary’s bank and (if necessary) of intermediary bank;
  • Scope of transfer (education, treatment, financial support, family expenses etc.);
  • Documents which confirm the scope and the sum of the transfer in cases stipulated by Law of Republic of Moldova on foreign exchange regulation No 62-XVI, as of March 21, 2008   and Regulations of National Bank of Moldova on the conditions and the mode of carrying out currency operations dated 28.01.2010.

The effecting of international money transfers on the order of physical persons is carried out at the expense of:

  • cash means in foreign currency, available at cashier-offices of the bank;
  • cash means in Moldavian lei by conversion in the currency of the transfer;
  • funds in foreign currency on current/deposit accounts of payer.
